Stairs, Ladders, Bridges and Walkways
One of the most important issues disc golf course designers must address is that of player safety. A well-designed course minimizes the risk of shots going into potentially dangerous areas such as deep ravines, parking lots, playground areas, mud bogs, streets, or other fairways. The well designed course also provides a safe route up, down and across all possibly dangerous areas. By incorporating some common sense, and a good combination of stairs, ladders, bridges and walkways, the good course designer can create a very challenging and exciting disc golf course while still providing a safe playing environment for all involved.
